Rural Aid Water Project
Community water and Sanitation project
Due to the capital intensive nature of constructing boreholes, which we the staff of CLICAF are in most cases unable to fund, we focused mainly in other means of provision of potable water to these unfortunate populates of the deprived communities such as:
(a) Provision of water storage facilities in form of concrete tanks and poly tanks
(b) Mechanizing existing pods/dams to make them potable for drinking. And
(c) Construction of new wells at places where the water table is high enough to support.

Location:
Suburb of Ho, Volta Region.
Program start date:
Available year round
Program Duration:
Minimum: 2 weeks
Maximum: 12 months
Working Hours:
Monday- Friday (5hrs each day.)
Your Role:
Will be determined by the nature of job available on volunteer's arrival
What To Bring Along:
Teaching and learning materials such as picture books, maps, puzzle games, pens, pencils, crayons, writing books, footballs and training kits etc.

What is the nature of work at the site?
It includes provision of water storage facilities in form of concrete tanks and poly tanks, mechanizing existing pods/dams to make them potable for drinking. We construct new wells at places where the water table is high enough to support it. Volunteer works at the site include digging, mixing of motor, concrete, carrying of materials, cracking stones, painting and many more.
Who will I be working with?
Volunteers will work with CLICAF volunteer team, expertise from the rural folks and other international volunteers.
Who sponsors the projects?
Projects are funded by CLICAF together with contributions from our donor partners.
Do I need any special skills?
No special skill is needed since you will be working with expertise from the beneficiary communities.
Where will I stay while volunteering on the project?
There is volunteer work camp for all volunteers participating on this water project
