Brief Description of the Percentage Allocation/Breakdown
Airport-pickup
Upon arrival at the Kotoka international airport, Ghana, our volunteer team will be there to receive and welcome you officially into our happy family of volunteerism. The question of late arrival in the night is no problem at all since CLICAF has already made provision for volunteers' first night lodge at Accra the capital of Ghana for volunteers who may arrive later than 10pm.

Registration
Registration is carried out for all new volunteers in our country head office to officially sign them up for their volunteer program and also to usher them into our field of projects. Just after the registration the country director will issue volunteers the package associated with this exercise.

Orientation
There will be an intensive orientation workshop for the participating volunteers in the country office. Topics to be covered include:

What CLICAF does in the districts/municipals
The culture of the Ghanaian people
Safety and support system in the community
Field trip to landmarks areas.

Administrative Expenses
As an organization,we try to keep our running cost cheap or the cheapest in the country.Office space, internet cost, electricity, phone, water and other utility bills and motivation of professional locally-based staff has always been a challenge. For this reason, part of the participation fee helps us to perform these administrative functions that will make your project a success.

Project Support
CLICAF is a nonprofit organization, therefore funding of projects is always a problem. Hence part of the volunteer’s commitment is channeled into the intended volunteer program development and management to sustain the volunteer’s area of interest.

Host Family
Primarily, the host family we will asign to you will be responsible for your general welfare and upkeep in terms of provision of your nutritious and delicious meals three times daily, accommodation and any other form of support while volunteering with us.

Over the years our volunteer participation fee has been kept low as compared to other organizations offering the same volunteer programs. This initiative is to ensure that we lessen the burden and the stress volunteers go through raising fund to volunteer on charity programs abroad. .

Why should I pay to volunteer at all?

The reason is that we are nonprofit charity organization and runs solely on our slim budget which we keep as the cheapest. Therefore the volunteer program fee you paid to us is the fuel for developing and managing our volunteer programs and funding some basic needs such as volunteer's meal, accommodation, transportation to placement, 24/7 in-country support. Our charity work is a social responsibility serving less privileged in rural poor communities. We shear your plights and sentiments however the reasons explains it. We try very hard to streamline our activities such that your participation fees is not misappropriated but rather support the intended budget for your successful volunteer program with us. .

How does it feel to volunteer?

A day in the life of volunteers with CLICAF is great feeling and refreshing. This is simply because our volunteer programs open the eyes of volunteer abroad to the realities of how less privileged live in the deprived communities of Ghana.
